The project of Basic Literacy Project (64 districts) in 4 upazilas of Pirojpur district will be implemented in Nazirpur, Kawkhali, Indurkani and Mathbaria upazilas. This program is being implemented in Kawhali and Mathbaria upazilas at 1st level and in the second phase Nazirpur and Indurkani Upazilas will be brought under the project. Non-government organizations called Kalyan for Kokhali upazila and Rick, a non-government organization in Mathbaria upazila, concluded the survey. In Kawkhali upazila, 5315 men and 5504 women, total 10819 and in Mathbaria Upazila, 7991 men and 7451 female total 15446 illiterates of 15-45 years of age have been found.
